LOCAL TIPS:
I advise new and experienced drivers as follows:
1.  Locals should be aware that folks new in the area may actually slow or stop when approaching traffic lights that turn yellow or red before they arrive at an intersection.
2.  Individuals new to the area should know that some locals believe that they are allowed to go through a traffic light no matter what color it is as long as they observed it to be green at some time during their approach.
3.  Pedestrians should know that being in a cross-walk may place you at risk from local drivers.
4.  Local drivers should know that some pedestrians are from places where pedestrians are offered protection in cross-walks until they leave the cross-walk area.
5.  Bicyclists and joggers are always at risk from local drivers.
6.  There is no agreement among local drivers on the appropriate course of action to take when an ambulance approaches or a school bus stops with lights flashing.  EXPECT THE UNEXPECTED.  Be prepared for chaos!
7.  A single continuous street may take on several names as you travel on it.  You are not lost just because you no longer recognize the name of the street that you are on.
8.  When driving on anything paved in Central Kentucky, do NOT assume that any  road can be considered safe.  Unbanked curves, soft shoulders, drop-offs, disappearing lanes, fallen rocks, large animals, hidden views on rolling hills, and inoperable rail crossings are likely to be encountered.
9.  Area parking lots are often designed to maximize confusion, hazard and difficulty in auto navigation.
10.  The timing or phasing of traffic signals penalizes drivers who stay at the speed limit and rewards the speeder who jack-rabbits ahead to make each light.

Tips:  For finding addresses, zip codes & phone numbers:
(Why waste time & $ on calling the operator or searching through a phone book when you can quickly get address and phone information for free?)
1.  Choose valid address to get to the National Address Server so that you can enter the portion of address that you have and the server will return the address in the proper zip-4 postal format.
2.  To find an address when you have only a name: choose valid address to get to the National Address Server and choose people search.
3.  To find a zip code choose zip codes on the Personal Coach menu or valid address to get to the National Address Server where you will  choose zip search.
4.  To find a phone number:  choose white pages from the Personal Coach menu.  You will be at the Ultimate White Pages which lets you search over services from Yahoo, WhoWhere, Switchboard, InfoSpace, AnyWho and WorldPages.
The Ultimate White Pages also has a reverse search section for when you know only the phone number.  It also has links to map searches.
