I am looking for information on Thomas Geoghegan who married Elizabeth Johnson of Hardin County Kentucky on Feb.28, 1878 They had at least one daughter Mattie who married a Samuel Hill first who died of Spinal meningitis and secondly she married Alexander
R. Rowland of Franklin County MS. Mattie had one child by Samuel, a son who was named Thomas Quincey Hill after his grandfather Geoghegan and Mattie's older brother Quincey Geoghegan who was killed at Gettsburg.
Any information you have would be greatly appreciated. My husband had a great Aunt who passed in 1987 who had corresponded and visited for several years with some Geoghegans in Kentucky she said she was related to. It has been a long time but I believe
he said it was Elizabethtown.

My Grandfather, Dr. John Herbert Geoghegan, left me with his life story prior to his death some 20 yrs ago. He came to Canada from Ireland on a Cattle Boat in I believe 1906. He has mentioned that we are from the "KING ONEAL CLAN" and there is a Geogheg
n Castle. I will have to locate all the info he gave me and share it ie Family Tree.
Apparently his dad installed the engines in one of the first submarines.
Since I just stumbled on this PAGE I do not have info on hand right now. Look foward to chatting.
