A few years after I began manufacturing these heating pads, I desperately needed it myself. I had a kidney infection that was so bad that I couldn't sleep. I heated the large heating pad and layed with it between the bed and my back. I could finally sleep and the pain had been greatly diminished by morning. There are so many uses for it. A lady once called me and suggested that I put applique paw prints on it and advertise them as pet bed warmers. It's even been used to soothe a child's earache. My aunt, had to use ice on her sprained ankle. She put the heating pad in the freezer for about an hour then wrapped the ice on her ankle and finally the frozen heating pad wrapped around that. This allowed her to get at least 3 hours sleep instead of the "every hour having to change the ice" routine.
