PRA GROUP PERSONNEL INFORMATION
Professional Origins of the PRA GROUP
The Professional Resource Associates (PRA) Group has its origins as a educational, psychological, and community services organization studying the development and improvement of educational practices in public and private schools. With a well developed body of knowledge, both theoretical and empirical, this resource group quickly emerged into a centralized network of specialized educational and psychological services and coaching and consulting service to the public at large. Extensive study and analysis of the community processes showed that schools, child care facilities, children, parents, and the community at large could benefit from easily accessible support services that would provide quality assistance for developmental, educational, and mental health needs. An attempt has been made to carefully research the methods leading to sequential, ordered, results oriented educational, psychological, and self-development processes that would meet these needs. The aims of The PRA GROUP include:
The PRA GROUP Services Rationale and Approach
The PRA GROUP provides a wide range of educational, psychological, and family oriented services. Optimal support of personal, family, school, and community agency processes requires a highly refined understanding of human needs and the institutions that serve us. The underlying rationale is that effective human (self) development is best achieved through a consistent application of social, psychological, and educational principles, verified through time and experience, to be exemplary.
The PRA GROUP provides short-term consultant services on a contingency fee basis as agreed with the participating person, family, institution, organization, or community agency. The standard services include a needs assessment, problem identification efforts, a case evaluation and risk profile, a time utilization schedule, written evaluation reports, and/or an implementation protocol. Adjustments and amendments to this approach often are made to accommodate the existing needs of the participants. These planned efforts usually result in rather specific case management approaches for meeting the assessed needs and implementing the provisions of fully agreed services.
The Personnel Involved
The staff of the PRA GROUP consists of a network of exceptionally qualified professionals selected according to the basic criteria advanced by modern psychological, educational, and personnel theory.
