Actually, I stumbled upon your website while doing a search for action research projects, self-directed learning, autonomous learning. I'm sure happy i found you. Your organization sounds wonderful. I can get many inspired ideas from you to use with my students as a teacher in a new charter school here in California where we will emphasize community-based service learning as part of the curriculum. I think that there are a lot of negative acts that are attributed to young people, mostly through biased portrayal in the media. As an Ojibway elder and Korean war veteran, I find this not to be fair. There is good in everybody. There is not enough being said about the good things young people like you are involved in. All the good things people do are really worth doing. Remember: "Your kind acts do make a difference and will make a difference!" Teachings from a great elder: "I have seen that in any great undertaking, it is not enough that a man should simply trust in himself. Continue to seek the help of your friends and the God of your understanding."
