Elisabeth Ann Matulewicz

1992 - 1996
In 1992, Elisabeth Ann Matulewicz graduated high school and joined the Air Force. She attended a six-week basic training regime at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. Then, she attended a six-month technical school for Graphic Art at Lowry Air Force Base, Denver, Colorado. Her first duty assignment was the 4th Wing, 4th Support Group, 4th Communications Squadron, Seymour Johnson, Goldsboro, North Carolina. While assigned to the 4th Wing, she won the highly competitive 1994 Safety Poster Contest and received a VCR. She deployed to support Blue Flag, at Hurlburt Field, FL in September 1995. Blue Flag is Air Combat Command's flagship modeling and simulation exercise, bringing together combat leaders and battle staff members from each U.S. military branch.

1996 - 1998
In April of 1996 Elisabeth applied for a special duty to the HQ Standards System Group, Visual Information Support Branch, Maxwell AFB-Gunter Annex, Montgomery, Alabama. She was responsible for a Picturetel videoteleconferencing conference room and for the Defense Commercial Telecommunications Network (DCTN) videoteleconferencing conference room. She scheduled and orchestrated over 1,300 conferences a year. She also was a videographer shooting such events as Annual Awards Banquets and the Inspection General Unit Effectiveness Inspection outbrief. She is a graduate of Community College of the Air Force with an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Audiovisual Production Services.
1998 - 1999
In June of 1998 Elisabeth applied for a special duty assignment to the Air Force Operations Group, CSAF Briefing Team. While assigned to the briefing team, she was hand picked to redesign the AFOG classified web site, which she did in a record two weeks. In April 1999 she was named Air Force Operations Group XOO and XOOO Airman of the Quarter. In May 1999 Elisabeth completed Bolling Air Force Bases's Airman Leadership School. While stationed at the Pentagon in Washington, DC, she married Michael.
1999 - pres.
In September of 1999, she left the Air Force in order to reside with her husband. She immediately found employment as a Web Applications Developer with a consulting firm. After six months, she decided to return to college full-time. She's currently a senior at La Salle University, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania with a 3.3 G.P.A. She will receive her Bachelor Degree in Digital Arts and Multimedia Design in May of 2002. In addition to college, Elisabeth works part-time with the Air National Guard. She recently cross-trained out of Graphic Arts and accepted a position in Public Relations. In her free time, she enjoys web design, travel, gardening, and ceramics.

While in the Air Force, Elisabeth received the Air Force Commendation Medal with one oak leaf cluster; Air Force Outstanding Unit Award with one oak leaf cluster; and Air Force Organizational Excellence Award with one oak leaf cluster. In her first year as a member of the Pennsylvania Air National Guard, she was promoted to Staff Sergeant (E-5) and received the Pennsylvania State Commendation Medal.
