 System of beliefs based on the writings and laws and ideas from:

  1) The WRITTEN Law:    the Bible  (the Hebrew-Bible ), (3 parts to include:
      -the Torah (5 books), 
      -the Prophets (21), 
      -the Writings (13)      )
             (the others call it: OT (Old-testament) )

  2) The ORAL Law:  anything that came historically thereafter the Bible,
      the Jewish Oral Law includes: (all by Chaza"l):
      -Mishnah (6 volumes, of 63 books),
      -Talmud (or Gemarah),(2 types, in many books),
        (Bavli: 37 books(total of around 2700 pages), Yerushalmi: 39 books )

  3) later times' RABBIS:  (after the closing of The Talmud):
      other law books/or commentaries  by later Rabbis:
      -The Zohar,
      -The Ramba"m's books,
      -the Shulchan-Aruch Books, 
      -etc.....
