
What We Do
AEPAH is dedicated to the education and preservation of
African-American history through activism, scholarly work, and presentations. The
Association's major project is the upkeep and maintenance of the Washington, D.C. Black
History National Recreational Trail in Washington, D.C.
The Association also has new projects that will promote
African-American history, including:
- Restoration of Woodlawn Cemetery
- Restoration of Congressional Cemetery
- Marketing of the Civil War memorial
- Promoting Black History Month
