IT'S A JEEP THING!!

Back in 94, I was looking to buy a 4 wheel drive. I had looked at the Ford Explorer, Chevy Blazer, and yes even the Isuzu Rodeo. It seemed all but the Rodeo was out of my price range. A friend at work said go look at a Cherokee. I thought "yeah right." At any rate driving my 1984 Volvo, I pulled into a Jeep dealer. What I noticed was a lack of Cherokee's on the lot. A few used ones sat around, but none that were new. The dealer explained we had gotten a big snow last year, and after all it was April, halfway through the year. To make a long story short, I was amazed at the price, and put together a package. I opted for the SE with a 4.0L I-6, 5 speed 2 door. Got the AIR free of charge. The whole thing came to just over $17,000 out the door. Done Deal. June arived and I got a call, My 1994 Hunter Green with Tan interior XJ was there waiting for me. The drive home was great. I could tell this was the 4 wheel I had been waiting for. I found out quick it is a JEEP THING, and the fever set in. After about a year and a half of driving a stock XJ, I knew there was something else. Then started maddness, and the lift, and the 31" tires and the bumpers, and the roofrack and the------..... At any rate here it is 5 years later, towing our jet boat to Ocean City, Md, alot of 4 wheelin, a couple Jeep Jamberees, and maybe next year Camp Jeep 2000. In June of this year we took my wifes 96 Saturn to the Jeep Dealer, and left there with a 99 ChilePepperRed XJ Sport for her. Well here it is. She's had it for almost 6 months and 2000 miles, and she says " I want it lifted". The maddness is still here.
IT'S A JEEP THING!! IT'S AMERICA!!
