in a sullen cave with walls tumbling down all around
No light to guide
me a heart torn and hurt no softly spoken sound
First came your
words; opened a door, a glimmer of light shining in
My first ray of
hope in your thoughts so sure allowed me to begin
No eyes to see you
a distance so great and yet you were here with me
I drank in your
words so thirsty was I your words allowed me to see
A miracle happened
one summer's day it was you came here for real
Holding you close
so frightened I was your touch made me to feel
Time moved its way,
together we drew a distance seemed to infuse
When off I went
after illusions I see how you must have felt used
As illusions may
go, as often they do, my mind did come back to me
One thing I learned
from illusions gone, something I just couldn't see
Dreams may come
true if open you are and ready to see what is true
When I was crushed
and broken was I, I looked and there I saw you
Startled was I 'cause
I'd left you alone as I went off chasing shadows
And as I sat back
and looked deep inside a wonder at what I did know
You'd stayed by
my side, when you should go, my friend to the core
Other's just walked
and left me alone, you showed me much more
I looked in your
eyes as never before, saw a need before now in you
In an instant I
saw where was my dream and knew what I must do
Now to enter the
walls which you've built, to keep the hurt away
What can I do to
show you inside, what are the words I must say
Melting together
I feel so alive for you there'd nothing to deny
Thoughts of you
absent or out of my life brings a tear to my eye
In every waking
moment and into my dreams it's you who haunts me
If this is a dream
