Personal Skills :

• Communicative : I have been a successful trainer on the subject of a real-time OS since the beginning of 1998. I developed all training and seminar programs independently, with programs ranging from a half-a-day seminar to a 4 day training.
  
• Analysis, in particular high-speed analysis : As a technical person, my main strength is to analyse a problem and come up with a correct solution in a very short time. For example, during pre-sales meetings, customers explain their application and require an answer immediately.
  
• Ability to adapt to changing circumstances : I have performed several successful customer visits and seminars in countries all over the world (Europe, Japan, Taiwan, ...). It's my particular strength to work in quickly changing situations and environments, adapting myself to national mentalities, company policies etc.
  

Studies :

• Studied secondary school (age 12-18), specialising in mathematics
  
• University studies in Computer Science at the University of Antwerp (UA) from 1991 - 1995 : graduated with a score of 80%.
  
• Final paper was titled "Radiosity : a model for 3-D illumination calculation". It involved specification and implementation of a mathematically complex illumination method, but my colleague and me extended the project with a 3-D object definition language and a highly optimised 3-D scene viewer.
  
• Further specialisations were : Artificial Intelligence, Digital Signal Processing and Computer Graphics
  

Employment History :

• August 1995 - July 1996 : Kredietbank NV. An independent bank with Flemish roots. My work consisted of integration of the international systems and the local systems. While the job description seemed very interesting, it turned out the banking world was conflicting with my personality.
  
• August 1996 - December 1997 : Eonic Systems, provider of the Virtuoso™ RTOS. I was originally hired as a kernel developer, which involved programming in C and assembly. It gave me a firm insight in the deep working principles of an OS, specifically a distributed RTOS. After 2 years, I decided to move into a more communicative work area.
  
• January 1998 - present : Eonic Systems. Early 1998 I started giving trainings and customer support. This part-time occupation became full time in October 1998, when I became FAE. There are 3 parts in my current job : seminars, pre-sales support and post-sales tech support. Additionally, I structured the FAE department and cooperated for the latest manual.
  
• Highlights include :
  • training at the Max Planck Institute in Germany, March 1998 for people of ESA and Max Planck Institute
    
  • a seminar in Japan, June '98, for prospects of Toshiba, Mitsubishi and Canon, all of which eventually became customers
    
  • Customer visit at Thomson Marconi Sonar, Brest, April '99, where I helped out with the configuration problems and gave consultancy on their application.
