Howdy partner...

Thanks for coming to, finding, seeking out, stumbling upon, getting trapped by, visiting, or trying to get away from my unskilled attempt at constructing a page on the ever-expanding World Wide Web. Since my page is just another one of those pages whose sheer purpose is to enable me to casually drop "Oh, I have a webpage" into my conversations on first dates or job interviews, I will make no assumption that you will make any attempt to read my ramblings or even find what I have to say remotely interesting.

So you're still here, huh? Why, you ask yourself??? Hmmm...funny, I was wondering that too. Did I lure you in with my wit? My one-liners? My subtle beauty? My vixen ways? No? oh...um...well, okay. Uhhhmmm...I suppose I could tell you about myself.

I am a 19-year-old financially challenged student at Augsburg College in Minneapolis, MN, where from my dorm room window I see the beautiful Minneapolis skyline and the beautiful Minneapolis sunset. However, I grew up mainly in Virginia, MN (a small town on Northern Minnesota's Iron Range), where from my bedroom window I could see a pine tree and the sunrise behind my neighbor's house. (Strikingly similar and symbolically contrasting...hmmm...yeah.) Right now, I am a pre-music vocal performance major* here at Augsburg.

*translate as "striving to be a starving artist living off of family for most of life, ending up teaching lessons at some Schmitt Music store and probably going nowhere. I'm really not this pessimistic in person--you caught me on a bad night.

However, aside from also playing piano and guitar (and having dabbled around with a little bit of mandolin, banjo, ukelele, organ, and tamburitza [small Eastern European quasi-mandolinesque-six-stringed instrument], I have a large interest in theater, especially music-theater. I have always loved music-theater, and my tentative plan is to finish at Augsburg and then seek my destiny in the American music-theater haven--New York City!!!

Umm...let's see...what else?

I have a fascination with the comedy genius STEVE MARTIN, and I love Gilda Radner...umm....I like all kinds of music...seriously. I have no "favorite" artists, really...odd, I know. Within my CD cases dwell many different genres and artists including Tori Amos, Elvis Costello, Bob Dylan, Counting Crows, Live, Dada, the Cranberries, Sarah McLachlan, Jane Siberry, Jennifer Knapp, Weezer, Fleetwood Mac, Clear, Stevie Nicks, Radiohead, Beethoven, and on and on and on.

enough typing. Thanks for actually taking the time to read this. I'm amazed that you're still awake. Please sign my guestbook. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE. It hasn't been signed for months. I'd feel like much less of a failure if you did. And email me! I love email from strangers--AND friends!
