All about the u2 sound
how to get that u2 sound! ive been playing u2 songs
since i was 16 im now 39! first thing you need is to
be a half decent player and use a good modulation delay
unit the korg SDD3000 is the classic u2 unit Edge used
the korg to record most of Albums with Apart from the
Electric harmonix deluxe memory man that was used mainly
on boy and october but still used through out other Albums
as too other stuff really whats Available TC2290 ect the edges
delay lines run from 50ms to 600ms heres a list of my gear
i use to get close to the u2 sound and for my other cover
versions in my other band
(please note the edge sound is very unique and it would cost
a lot to try and copy his set up! even if you had all the same gear
the magic is in his fingers his style and the sound is truly Unique
which makes him a really great player and creator of new sounds
