Forum Claim to Fame: Mother to Duncan's Inner Child & GA
I would like to think I was the 1st woman to dance on her stilts for Adrian's Birthday. Here in St. Thomas, I am known as a Moko Jumbi, the guardian of all spirits! Of course, I'd like to guard AP/DM any time, in any place or in any way.
Age has no meaning to me since God in his infinite wisdom allows me to perform wherever I go (that's from South America to Canada, from the Bahamas, the Caribbean, New York to Taiwan) at the proud age of 56, this year (1999)! I'm single and the proud owner of Bambi, my island mix dog who will turn 9 the day after me and she loves me unconditionally! I'm originally from New York and have lived here in St. Thomas for 23 years of my young life. They have been the best years in terms of my personal & spiritual growth. I have worked at Marriott Frenchman's Reef Beach Resort since Hurricane Marilyn in 1995, but I also have my own entertainment management business, MOKO JUMBI 'N' FREN DEM (stilt dancer and friends), coordinating entertainment, as well as performing, for events, private functions, conventions, (both here and stateside) as well as for community benefits, etc. President and Mrs. Clinton were the best fun when they visited here in '97!
Highlander and AP/DM have been an inspiration to me since I fell in love with our ONH, I believe in 1996 when I finally got cable after the hurricane. I admire this man and his efforts for the less fortunate children...The P*E*A*C*E Fund. It is my fervent wish to be able to someday dance for his kids at one of his fundraisers. Please God that I can do this. In the meantime, I look forward to meeting my Forumfriends at the Denver Con in March and maybe again in May in DC! Until then......may you all have a peace-filled day!
